The First Responder course is universally recognized as the entry level provider certification within the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. This intensive course certifies the sports medicine responder with a standardized level of basic emergency care as a 'First Responder`. The first responder integrates within the scope of their local EMS system, allowing better access, communication and collaboration during the preparation for, and execution of emergency medical interventions in the sports milieu. Recertification is available to those whose cards are still valid prior to the course. This course will be taught in English.

Manual: Participants will receive an updated SFR manual (200+ pages)

Certification: National Canadian Red Cross certification at level of: First Responder, CPR/AED/HCP (Health Care Provider), Epinephrine Administration (Quebec). Certifications include SFR wall certificate and CRC wallet card. First Responder badges are available for purchase at the completion of the course.
